Rate decreases announced

Just a very brief edition of AWIR due to the very short week – minimising the required read time for those of you who had the foresight to take the 3 days off to achieve a 10-day break!

The Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) interest rate for employment-related loans will reduce from 8.4% to 7.38% for the quarter commencing 1 April 2025 and subsequent quarters.

And from May 8th, use of money interest rates will also be changing, with the paying rate reducing from 10.88% to 9.89%, while the receiving rate will reduce from 4.30% to 3.27%.
