Lucy Montgomery

English Literature MA

with First-class Honours

Lucy Montgomery is our Marketing Assistant. She uses her proofing, editing, and branding skills to manage content cycles for Gilligan Sheppard and our clients. This includes updating website blogs, publishing and proofing newsletters, and posting to social media for businesses and individuals.

Lucy holds a First-Class MA Hons degree in English Literature from Glasgow University, which has equipped her with the necessary skills and expertise to excel in the marketing industry. Before her travels to Australia and New Zealand, she worked in a Marketing and Operations position at a London-based tea company and social enterprise.

Now, Lucy joins Lisa by bringing her creative and intelligent thinking to the Gilligan Sheppard team and our clients.

“Above all, be the heroine of your life, not the victim.” – Nora Ephron

Born and raised in the seaside town of St Andrews on Scotland’s east coast, Lucy set her sights on Glasgow, where she spent four years immersed in her studies. After graduating, she headed south to the bright lights of London for a year, before deciding to join her partner on a six-month working holiday in Australia. Highlights include sailing through the breathtaking Whitsunday Islands to catching some seriously gnarly waves in Byron Bay.

Lucy is equally as comfortable on the ski slopes as reading a great book or watching a thrilling crime drama on TV. With a professional musician for a dad, it’s no surprise that she has a natural talent for singing and loves to attend gigs, festivals, and theatre.

When she’s not exploring the great outdoors or nurturing her creative side, Lucy keeps busy with active pursuits like swimming and has recently started playing netball. And, of course, she loves to flex her culinary muscles, cooking and baking up a storm.
