The qualities Joshna Mistry values most are honesty, integrity as well as trust. As a result you are always going to be in safe hands with her.

Joshna never pre-judges a situation or problem. She listens, understands, thinks through and then questions. Her approach and collaborative process always get to the root of the situation hence finding effective solutions.

Considered in her approach, Joshna Mistry is always clear and honest in her communication with colleagues and clients.

While Joshna works well in structured engagements, she is equally able to work on unstructured projects with multiple issues. She has the unique ability to work at a strategic high level, in addition to getting amongst it and sorting out details.

Joshna has over fifteen years’ experience in Chartered Accountancy and presently leads the Value Added Services team at Gilligan Sheppard.  Joshna’s specific skills and passion are in business and share valuations, and loss quantification work.  She has completed expert level valuations for the crown and appeared in valuation proceedings in regard to this.  She also enjoys and is effective at working with supporting transactions including assessment of value and customised due diligence.  She also provides litigation support, including forensic analysis.  Joshna has advanced analytical and financial modelling skills, therefore also assists with evaluating capital raising opportunities. This is especially relevant for venture capital and early stage growth businesses.

Her skills are also very relevant in providing support for strategic and operational review work as part of the wider team.  Prior to Gilligan Sheppard, Joshna worked in a large mid-tier firm and managed business advisory teams and clients.

Family and friends are very important to me and I have a very large extended family who I am very close to. A lot of my leisure time is dedicated to family and friends. I also need time on my own and enjoy reading, mostly crime/suspense novels, enjoy movies within this same genres and Bollywood! I especially enjoy any conversation/book/movie which challenges my thinking. I enjoy a wide range of music. You will sometimes find me extroverted and outgoing, and other times, quiet and contemplative and can be described as an extroverted introvert. Essentially this means I need to withdraw to recharge.
