David was originally born and raised in Korea before moving to New Zealand at the age of seventeen. Growing up David admired his uncle who is a CPA accountant in the USA, “I saw him working when I was young and it fascinated me”. David was sure he was going to take the same career path, and so he did. He studied at Auckland University while also completing a two-year internship at a Korean CA Firm located in Birkenhead. This showed David the ropes around compliance tasks such as GST, PAYE, and Tax Returns. After graduating in 2017, David began his first full-time role working at a small CA firm in Auckland CBD, and five years later, he found GS.
What David loves most about GS is that he can expand his career even further by working with a diverse group of fantastic professionals and mentors. David takes pride in working with people and creating value in every relationship.
