Kelly Rouzbehi

BFA Creative Writing
Marketing Assistant

Kelly is a strong adversary of boring content. She believes that corporate jargon and poor storytelling are killers of engagement and business, which is why she has dedicated her career to becoming an expert storyteller so that she can put an end to mind-numbing dribble. She recently completed a BFA in creative writing at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and moved from Australia to New Zealand to live with her partner. She has experience working in several creative roles that have provided her with skills in copywriting, editing and proofreading, graphic design, and digital marketing.

As a Marketing Assistant, she oversees the creation and publication of content across websites, Newsletters, and social media for Gilligan Sheppard. She is passionate about helping brands find their voice and connect with their audience by sharing valuable content that grabs people’s attention rather than putting them to sleep. Kelly also has a keen eye for design and artwork and enjoys creating visual content as much as written content. And as someone who grew up with social media, she constantly has her ear to the ground about what kind of content is trending and popular.

Although Kelly has just kickstarted her career, she is eager to learn and work with new people and looks forward to growing her skills and knowledge here at Gilligan Sheppard.

“The best marketing strategy ever: care”

While Kelly loves to work hard, she also likes to relax hard. To her, there’s nothing quite like curling up on the couch with an iced drink in one hand and a book in another. But when she’s feeling more adventurous, she loves trying out new cafes and restaurants with her partner or planning her next trip overseas (even if she can’t afford it yet). She loves anything that engages her creatively, like writing novels, painting, or solving puzzles, and she’ll never say no to watching a bit of Netflix. But at the end of the day, she spends most of her spare time chasing around her miniature dachshund, Fritz, when he steals her socks.

“When someone says you can’t do it, do it twice and take pictures.”
