Jolie Feng

Bachelor of Business
Junior Intermediate BAS Accountant/Bookkeeper

Jolie’s accounting journey began in 2003. She started as a humble bookkeeper, navigating through the intricacies of balancing ledgers and reconciling accounts. With each passing year, she delved deeper into the world of finance, steadily climbing the ladder from entry-level positions to eventually becoming a senior accountant within a company.

The path wasn’t always easy, and there were numerous challenges along the way. She encountered complex financial puzzles that required patience, diligence, and a sharp eye for detail to solve. Yet, with every obstacle came an opportunity for growth, and she seized each one eagerly.

Jolie was drawn to Gilligan Sheppard because of its reputation for excellence in client service and its collaborative work environment. She saw it as an opportunity to further develop her skills and contribute to a dynamic team. What she loves most about her work is the satisfaction of helping clients navigate complex financial challenges and witnessing their businesses grow and succeed because of their efforts.

Jolie’s advice to clients is to stay proactive and engaged in their financial management. Regularly review financial statements, set clear goals, and don’t hesitate to seek professional advice when needed.

“In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer. And that makes me happy. For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there’s something stronger, something better, pushing right back.” – Albert Camus

Outside of work, Jolie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exploring new places, and trying out different hobbies like painting and hiking. She also likes to stay active on social media, connecting with people from around the world and sharing snippets of her life.

For her, the value of life lies in the pursuit of happiness and inner fulfillment. She believes that everyone should seek their own joy and strive to create a life that brings them satisfaction.

One thing she would like to achieve is to publish a book sharing her travel experiences and insights gained from exploring different cultures around the world. She believes it would be a meaningful way to inspire others to step out of their comfort zones and embrace new experiences.

Her biggest life lesson is to embrace change and adaptability. Life is unpredictable, and being able to adapt to new circumstances and challenges is essential for personal growth and fulfillment. Learning to let go of rigid expectations and embracing the unknown has helped her navigate life’s twists and turns with greater resilience and positivity.
